a month agoDoes anyone go through immunotherapy as well as chemo. If so does it drain you

a month agoCombining immunotherapy with chemotherapy can indeed increase fatigue levels, as the body is working hard to process both treatments while fighting cancer. Many patients in similar situations find that staying hydrated, getting gentle movement when possible, and communicating openly with their care team about energy levels helps manage this exhaustion. Consider sharing what strategies have worked for you or asking others in the community about their experiences with treatment-related fatigue.

a month agoI am doing immunotherapy by infusion and a chemo pill every day. This is far less difficult than the first round of the initial chemo therapy. Drinking LOTS of water helps. I get 80 ounces in a day. I also walk every day, trying for 3 miles a day. It isn't fast but it definitely helps with the fatigue. Sometimes I have to do it in 2 or 3 sessions.

a month agoYes, I do go for immunotherapy every other week for colon cancer and yes, it is draining but it gets better after a while. I get cituximab along with magnesium, if needed. I take Capecitabine chemo pills 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

a month agoHi Paul, Yes I do immunotherapy with my chemo what questions do you have?. And no it doesn't drain me, I take three medicines the immunotherapy is the first one thats administered and the second one is the strongest one and the third one I take is attached to me and I take that home and I have to wear it for 2 days until it's gone, that's the one that takes me out I'm so tired and drained it's so hard to function but it didn't used to do that but ive been on chemo for a long time so it must be finally taking it's toll on me.
