a month agoSome of you may be interested in the metabolic approach to healing. Dr. Seyfried from Boston College is extremely knowledgeable about cancer being a metabolic disease so therefore Chemo isnβt the only way to treat cancer. Dr Seyfried promotes the ketogenic diet. His goal while on the keto diet is to keep your glucose level low. Eliminate the sugar which cancer thrives on. I follow his recommendations as far as reducing the sugar intake. Each day ,morning and evening I take a manual test for my glucose level and Ketone level, then input those levels into an instrument that computes your GKI level through the (Glucose Ketone Index) its a metabolic marker that helps assess how effectively the body is in a state of therapeutic ketosis β a metabolic condition where ketones, not glucose, are the primary fuel source. In the cancer context, itβs used to measure and guide metabolic therapy strategies such as the ketogenic diet and adjunctive metabolic interventions.
