What does it mean when bladder mass cells aren't from the bladder?

I have had a mass removed from my bladder. I have been advised cells in mass are not bladder cells. In fact they have not given me clear information on where the cells came from. Labs are unclear. I feel like my Urologist is either not very educated on Cancer or they are not telling me something. Have referred me to oncology. Any advice?

When cells from a bladder mass aren't identified as bladder cells, it can mean they may have originated elsewhere in the body or have characteristics that make them difficult to classify immediately. This situation does require specialized expertise, which explains why the referral to oncology was made - they have the specific training to interpret these complex findings and determine the best next steps for diagnosis and treatment.
