That's such a thoughtful response - connecting with others here who've been through immunotherapy will definitely help, and don't hesitate to ask about the practical side effects too since everyone's experience can be so different.

I just finished my 5th round of immunotherapy and hopefully only have 7 more to go. On my 4th I had an allergic reaction so always let them know if something all of a sudden doesn’t feel right. Even the slightest thing. Now before I start my treatment they give me Benadryl and Tylenol. I also get nausea meds before each treatment. My worst side effect has been the horrible headaches for two days and then they go away by the third day. No meds ever help it. I was suppose to do BCG treatment but now they are going to do gemcitabine plus something else. They are trying to save my bladder. I also had stage 3 kidney cancer and had my left kidney removed. It’s been a year and I’m still going thru treatments and appointments plus working full time all while they try to save my bladder. Personally I would rather they just take it and let me get on with my life versus being miserable all the time. Made a deal if this new treatment doesn’t work then he will remove my bladder.

After immunotherapy failed to work for me the Gemcitabine and Docytaxel did work and I am now cancer free and got to keep my bladder. I had high grade stage 1.

That’s great news and I’m so happy for you. I’m praying I will have the same results. I’m just getting very tired of all the appointments and treatments. I just want to get on with my life and be able to do things with my husband. We just became empty nesters and were looking forward to taking a trip or two. Walking is very difficult for me. I’m very comfortable.
