2 months agoMy husband has stage iv bladder cancer. It started as t1 nmibc. Had surgery to remove tumor and had all clean edges. While doing BCG treatments it started growing quickly and spread to lymph nodes/bones/pluera around lungs and other areas. It blocked the ureters from opening to the bladder so now has nephrostomy tubes from each kidney and a stent in 1 however, that did not work. Since had it in the pluera area around lungs, he also has a pluerx catheter for us to drain that area at home. He is on Keytruda and padcev. 2 rounds of keytruda and 4 of padcev in. Has anyone started in this situation and done well? This all happened within a few months..

2 months agoMany people in this community have shared experiences with these treatment combinations, and each person's response can vary. The rapid progression you're describing sounds incredibly overwhelming, and it's completely understandable to be looking for others who have walked a similar path. Consider sharing more details about what you're hoping to learn from others' experiences - whether it's about managing side effects, treatment responses, or day-to-day coping strategies - as this might help community members provide more targeted support and insights.

a month agoSara, I started out nmibc, did two complete cycles of bcg, it became mi, had radical cystectomy, only to learn it had already spread to nearby lymph nodes. That was in 2016. I’ve been on and off pembro ever since. After a recent reoccurrence I did pembro + Padcev. Bad neuropathy in my feet, so quitting Padcev, but continuing w/ pembro. I’ve never heard of nmibc spreading that fast. Best of luck w/treatments.
