Can Anastrozole cause vision problems like halos?

Hi, I was diagnosed with DCIS Stage 0 in May. I’ve had a partial mastectomy, with clear margins. In July I had bilateral breast reduction/reconstructive surgery, with necrosis on both breasts. The wounds are taking very long to heal, basically stalled, and as a result I might have to have debridement complex full thickness skin grafts in 10 days. I also started Anastrozole since my radiation has been delayed due to healing. The Anastrozole (after 10 days) caused halos (which I still see and have been off medication for two weeks) and a one-time light flash with my vision after being off medication Oncologist took me off Anastrozole and I’m being evaluated by an ophthalmologist. Can anyone share a similar situation and results?

Vision changes like halos can be concerning, and it's great that your oncologist responded quickly by taking you off the medication and arranging an ophthalmology evaluation. While vision-related side effects are less commonly discussed with hormone therapies, other community members may have experienced similar issues and could share their experiences with you. Hopefully, the ophthalmologist can provide more clarity about what you're experiencing and help guide next steps for your treatment plan.
