2 months agoHello! I had breast cancer 27 years ago. I had a lumpectomy-node dissection( 2 positive nodes out of 28)—4 rounds AC chemo—35 radiation treatments—5 years tamoxifen —-2 years femara. I am now 75 yrs old and they found cancer in same breast as before. Er+Pr+her2- Same as before. I don’t know what treatment they will give me as I now have only one kidney and have heart trouble and take Metformin for type 2 diabetes. Any ideas?$

2 months agoFacing a recurrence after so many years brings up many questions, especially when other health conditions need to be considered in treatment planning. Your medical team will carefully evaluate all your current health factors to create the safest and most effective treatment plan specifically for your situation. Many treatment options exist today that can work well with various health conditions, and your oncologist will be the best person to guide you through the available choices that are right for you.

a month agoIt’s scary. I’m 52 and I had it 20 years ago and it’s back. Go to a large cancer center like MD Anderson or Memorial Sloan Kettering

20 days agoI've seen these messages so many times (reoccurrence later)that is why I opted for bilateral mastectomy. Even with that it came back in the skin 2 times so far! Lol You gotta laugh about it! How in the world could I remove ALL my skin?? Well you'll be happy to know they have streamlined radiation now! You can get the same treatment in a fraction of the time approx 5-7 days! Not ALL doctors are doing it yet if your's wants to do the whole 30+ I would check around for a different one that will make your life easier! I'm not sure what treatment they will do? They could possibly skip chemo and put you on aromatase and/or cdk4's instead? Not sure if you know about cdk4's yet? This comes with its own list of side effects similar to chemo. Good luck!!

20 days agoMelissa thanks for answering. I was talking to a lady who told me she has heard that the Covid shots are responsible for all these cancers recurring after so many years. I have a question —I have to choose between lumpectomy—mastectomy—implant or no implant. I know with lumpectomy you do radiation. With mastectomy do you do radiation? Any thoughts on implants? I had my pet scan today. Get results tomorrow. Prayers going up for all of us
