Does anyone take Anastrozole every other day?

Yes. I was having severe issues with side effects and doc had me go every other day. It did not help reduce the side effects and they had me stop taking it all together. I ended up having severe blood pressure issues when coming off it and now have to take an additional BP med to combat it.

I’m curious, why did you decide to take it every other day? Was this a plan suggested by your doctor, or are you dealing with difficult side effects that led you to change your dosage schedule? I’d love to hear more about your experience.

DCIS stage 0. Lumpectomy. Opted for 5 targeted radiations. No issues. Switched to Letrozole from Anastrzole because of side effects. After a time I felt crippled. Dr. thought it was the statin I was taking. Took a month break from all meds. Refreshing. Back on Letrozole only since Father’s Day. Some issues just not as severe. I go to exercise class 3 x a week and I am a very active 74 yr. old. Jury is still very much out.
