Financial assistance during cancer treatment is available through various sources that can help ease the burden. Many organizations offer grants and support specifically for cancer patients, including help with utilities, housing, and everyday expenses, while state programs in both PA and GA may provide additional assistance for those unable to work during treatment. Consider reaching out to social workers at treatment centers, local cancer organizations, and national foundations that specialize in patient financial support - many community members here have found helpful resources through these channels.

Yes they have a social worker that they can refer you to to help you get that assistance. I have not personally used it but I know it's available if you need it

I called the office of finance at the hospital filled out a form. For help. They approved us and we don’t pay hospital charges. If you r Dr is under the hospital name they take that charge too. I found out that PAC helps a great deal with meds. This is all thru Pa.

I didn't qualify for any assistance. I had to fight for every week of short term disability through the company my employer uses. My employer wanted me to be off as long as I needed but the std company was nasty. My husband and I have worked hard for many years and we are financially good because we have been financially responsible. I lost around 60,000 in income. I have great insurance but out of pocket cost for all the driving to appointments and stuff not covered by insurance was probably close to 10,000. I am lucky in many ways but was given nothing to help me....after I gave to many of these cancer organizations for many years.
