a month agoI just had zometa as an infusion yesterday and 24 hrs later I’m sick- flu like symptoms and body aches an head pressure. I hope it’s not like this every month. I’m in active treatment though

a month agoSome people do experience the symptoms every time. Claritin can help. One rare side effect is osteonecrosis of the jaw. I developed this after nine infusions. Make sure you see a dentist on a routine basis to avoid cavities which can lead to more invasive treatment which can cause the necrosis

a month agoWow really every time can actually happen??! Honestly if it’s just the flu symptoms I’d be ok but the head pressure oh no that was so debilitating. I was taking xgeva and did great with it but because I moved to new state the Medicaid here won’t approve it - I wish there was a better alternative. Thanks for the recommendation for the Claritin I will definitely try that next time

a month agoI have had 2 zometa injections so far. I am doing everything 3 months for 2 years. I was told the fly like symposium only present after the first injection. But I had it after both.

a month agoI have been getting monthly Zometa infusions since April 2025. Also, on oral Letrozole and Ibrance. After an infusion, I’m a little tired but feel fine.

a month agoI too was a little more fatigued than usual. I’m on letrozole and ribociclib after surgery and radiation.
