2 years agoIt's my birthday! A cancer diagnosis, even an early stage, easily treatable one, certainly makes you think about your own mortality. I've had a good time with getting older. I thought the empty nest would destroy me but I've enjoyed the freedom and expanded my horizons. But this year has shaken me. I feel so much older this year than I did last. But not quite ready for the rocking chair yet. Headed out kayaking, spending time with friends and family. Enjoying good food and good company. Wishing you all the very best, hoping you're getting excellent care and feeling loved and supported on this unexpected journey. 🎉🍾❤️

6 months agoYou have a great disposition about all this. Choose to focus on the positives in life every day. It will serve you well. I did that and I am done with chemo and surgery and am currently cancer-free. I will be starting radiation soon. It's the difference between living with, not dying with, cancer.
