6 months agoThroughout my cancer treatments, I've learned I can do HARD things! For me, I celebrated myself for getting through chemo. On too the next challenge! I told myself, if I could get through chemo, I can get through radiation! My treatments were M-F for 4 wks. The first 2 wks were , dare I say, easy. In and out, no side effects! That boosted my morale. And then I was half done! I focused on the goal of my last day of radiation. I knew I could do anything, even something hard, if I knew there is an end in sight. The radiation side effects got more noticeable but taking it one day at a time, knowing there is an end date, catapulted me through it. YOU GOT THIS! YOU'RE STRONGER THAN YOU THINK! I hope they will be the same for you as well.

6 months agoIMO radiation is not nearly as hard as chemo. Getting up early to go through 2hrs of am traffic for a twenty min procedure, 5x a week was the pitts! I was tired afterwards so I had to get over needing a nap. If you use your cream and stay hydrated- they are not playing when they say 8-10 purified bottles a day! I dint even get red until right before my boosts, Day 28. A few blisters two weeks after. I still do cream on the area.πππ₯°

6 months agoTomorrow will be my 13 th treatment out of 16. June 29th can't come soon enough. I'm staying tired, no appetite and starting to get red and gauldy. Radiologists told me symtoms won't get worse til after I'm done with treatments. That didn't make me happy. But trying to stay positive

6 months agoBe kind to yourself. Treatment is hard. Take each day one day at a time. Grieve your loses and celebrate new beginnings and successes. This journey is hard at all levels.

6 months agoDid my 20th radiation and 5 more to go. So far the most annoying thing is the itching.

6 months agoRadiation is not nearly even as hard as chemo. It just made me tired. I used Moderna cream not cheap but I hardly burned at all until two weeks after , but nothing that bad and it healed after a couple of weeks.
