2 years agoHas anyone who is experiencing hair thinning from Letrozole found a shampoo and or conditioner that helps? My hair has stopped growing and is thinning as well.
Accepted Answer
Many people in the breast cancer community have found gentle, sulfate-free shampoos helpful for hair changes during treatment, though what works can vary from person to person. Consider discussing hair care options with your oncology team, as they may have specific recommendations based on your treatment plan and can also address concerns about hair growth changes.

6 months agoI know, I wish there was a good product available. My hair is thinning from the letrozole and it seems to be getting more brittle and breaking

6 months agoI bought a red light therapy panel. I had the same problem but with the panel my hair got thicker and grew. I use the panel every morning for 10 minutes. If I travel I have a red light comb I take with me. I also have the YUKA app and you scan the bar code on an item and it tells how pure or good the product is- food, shampoo or lotions. That way you may be able to find healthy choices.

6 months agoHooga HG 1500 it works great. I feel it makes me feel better less side effects from the letrozole but I do not have anything to back that up. It would be cool if there was a study on red light therapy and endocrine therapies. Does it help with the awful side effects.

6 months agoThanks for the red light info Sandra. Full panel out of my budget though. I'm going to do a bit of research to see if there are smaller options

6 months agoSandra L. How did you decide? There are so many to choose from. I've been wanting to get one for a long time. Heard how good they are for your health. Also was considering getting a red light cap for my hair. Had anyone liked into those?

6 months agoMy husband and myself researching Once my husband was on board it took about 6 months to pick the red light therapy panel we thought was the best. I was going to a company called Restore and I was going there for my red light therapy and liked the panels there as well. We wanted to make sure we bought something strong enough to fit what I needed.

6 months agoHi all. Just wanted to caution those of you on AIs about those rice cake shampoo/ cond everyone is raving about. I did some digging. Wheat germ oil is a vit E derivative and increases estrogen. I’m so tired of hitting brick walls I don’t even want to look at ingredients anymore. It seems anything that improves hair, skin or nails has something in it that messes with hormone blockers. Just not taking the chance💕🥰😡

6 months agoMy Oncologist told me Biotin infused shampoo is ok to use and does help increase volume, at least I have noticed a difference (Pure Zero with Biotin). Not sure it regrows hair yet but I like the look and feel of my hair much better.
