3 months agoHi just recently diagnosed with triple negative invasive cancer l breast….had lumpectomy tumor 1.2cm with clean margins and negative lymph nodes. I met with oncologist who really had little time to speak with me I am having a cardiac echo and a port placed next week then four months of chemo and radiation that is far more than I anticipated. And I am uncomfortable doctor had so little time for me. I don’t even know how long the infusion takes 😢

Chemotherapy infusion times can vary depending on the specific medications used, but many patients find it helpful to ask their medical team for a detailed schedule of what to expect. It's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed when you don't have enough time with your oncologist to get all your questions answered - many patients in this community have shared similar experiences and found it helpful to write down questions beforehand and ask if they can schedule a longer appointment or speak with a nurse navigator who may have more time to walk through the treatment plan with you.
