a month agoHow about best things for this mouth pain? Makes the throat feel like strep and the mouth raw.

a month agoMouth and throat pain can be really challenging to deal with, especially during treatment. Many people in this community have found relief through gentle remedies like warm salt water rinses, ice chips, soft foods, and staying hydrated, though it's always best to check with your care team about what's safe and appropriate for your specific situation. Have others here found particular approaches that helped with similar discomfort?

a month agoThat's such great advice - I'd also suggest asking your team about magic mouthwash or other prescription rinses since sometimes the gentler remedies need a little extra help when the pain is really intense.

a month agoMy oncologist prescribed something called Mary’s magic mouthwash. It has lidocaine, I’m sure some type of antibiotic and a steroid. Saved me from wasting away to nothing because I couldn’t eat or even swallow.

a month agoI'm back at the center getting IVs. They have set me up on a twice a week cycle of IVs. Sure it's time, but of it helps I'm so worth it. I lost 25 lbs first week of chemo, that's probably not healthy
