5 months agoI’m currently taking kisquali and letrizole and noticed I’ve gained a few pounds. My oncologist stated that I need to lose weight and recommended going on the glp-1 meds. Just inquiring if anyone else has taken glp meds during cancer treatment.
Accepted Answer
Managing weight during cancer treatment can be challenging, and it's great that you're working closely with your oncologist on this. Many patients in the community have experience with various weight management approaches during treatment, and sharing experiences about GLP-1 medications could be really helpful for others facing similar situations. Hopefully, other community members will chime in with their experiences to help you feel more informed about this treatment option.

5 months agoI've gained weight on these also and used GLP -1 meds for like 6 months and had to stop because it was too expensive. I did lose 15 lbs.

5 months agoI’m on Mounjaro for my diabetes. I take Kisqali, but I think I’ve gained a few pounds from not eating right. I lost my husband last Sept. and it’s been difficult having the desire to cook for just me. I find myself grazing rather than eating real meals.

5 months agoThey rejected me for glp1 due to cancer. Said I must be 5 years cancer free.

5 months agoYes, I have gained weight due to hormone suppressants. I am not using GLP-1 for that.
