Eyelash Serum Recommendations After Chemo?

Is anyone using an eyelash serum after chemo? I can’t stand to look at myself with very few eyelashes and they do not seem to be coming back even though my hair is starting to. I want to try an eyelash serum but don’t know which one. I want a safe one. Research is all over the place I find.

Many people in this community have found success with various eyelash serums post-treatment, though it's always wise to check with your oncology team first since the eye area can be especially sensitive during recovery. Consider reaching out to others here who may have tried different options - their firsthand experiences could help you find something that works well and feels safe for your situation.

My dermatologist prescribed Bimatoprost, generic for Latisse. Through GoodRX you can get coupons. I pay about $56 for a 3 month supply. Eyelashes have a 4 month growth cycle with different phases. Don’t be surprised if they thin again after growing back in. It takes a while for the growth cycle to reestablish.

For those using Rodan & Fields were you worried about the prostaglandins in the formula at all? I’m a light complexion blue-eyed person. I’m also concerned about the dark spots you can get in your eyes from that and the dark eyelids. Have you had any of that? I don’t think that my doctor is going to prescribe me the Latisse. My doctor has been very unhelpful with pretty much everything through this whole process.

I used Rodan & Fields Lashboost for quite a while. I am fair skinned and didn’t have any problems with the color changes you mention but a friend of mine did. It stopped working for me after a while so I took a break from it. It’s also pretty pricey.
