4 months agoNo on told me chemo would get worse every cycle. It's bad this time, next is next week, don't want to go.
Accepted Answer
Managing chemo side effects that worsen with each cycle is incredibly challenging, and it's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed about continuing treatment. Many patients find it helpful to discuss symptom management strategies with their care team before the next session, as there are often additional supportive medications and techniques that can help make the experience more manageable.

4 months agoUnfortunately yes the effects (side effects) are accumulative. So as chemo goes on you can feel worse. Just finished my second round and yes l feel more fatigued, nauseous generally unwell. However, it is keeping the cancer from spreading. I have been told that this is the best it is going to be able to do for me. The cancer will not go away. But the chemo is keeping me alive so I am greatful.π. I hope you feel better soon. Be sure to take care of yourself.

4 months agoPlease donβt stop! I felt the same way but a family friend who is a NP pointed out that if you stop now then what to struggled through would be for nothing! I just had my 7th treatment the first 4 were the red devil and these next 4 are the taxol. The first week is rough but the second week gets easier for me! The worst is the mouth sores! Talk to your oncologist and they will give you what ever you need to get through this! I am now on gabapentin for joint pain and it is helping! What has been the worst for you?
