3 days agoI see the oncologists. The radiation Dr explain why I need to have radiation. At first I was hesitant. And I need only 5 treatments (thank God!). I see the medical oncologist. I have 2 cm and stage 2 with clear margin. It's was a small tumor caught early. She want to put me on Letrozole. Yes there are side effects but not everyone get it. I explain about having osteopenia and it's interfering with my medications I currently taking. I don't think I will do the hormone blocker. The Drs were very nice and wasn't pressuring me. Next week I have to go got bone density test and see if I can do radiation too,

3 days agoSounds good I have 16 full breast radiation and 4 tumor bed ones. I had triple negative that’s probably the difference even though they were the same size

2 days agoQuestions about Letrozole and osteopenia come up often in the breast cancer community, and wanting the full picture before deciding is completely understandable. Because this choice depends on personal medical details, the bone density test results can be a helpful starting point for a conversation with the oncology team, who can explain how bone health, current medications, and hormone therapy options fit together. Writing down questions before the next appointment may help, and other members are welcome to share how they talked through similar decisions with their care teams.

20 hours agoI was diagnosed with left breast cancer 10/1/2026, stage 1A, lymphnodes were normal. We caught it early, thank God, and had my lumpectomy 10/23. I'll see oncologist and radiation team this week. Surgeon believes it might just be 5 sessions of radiation. My question, has anyone here still works and has done radiation? How did it make you feel? Were you able to work on radiation days? I work from home which is good, but my work is very detailed oriented.
