Will my chest always feel hard and painful after mastectomy?

I have a question. I had a rt side mastectomy and I still feel my rt side like hard. Does it stays that way for ever? Have you gone throw this. Please let me know it feels painful sometimes

Lymphatic massages will help to keep the chest wall relaxed. It one of the things I have looked forward to during this journey. Please get signed up for OT you won’t regret it

Yes, I am 2 years out from surgery and still hard ridge from incision. Also had hard pebble like areas… those are left over ‘dead’ fat left from lymphedema areas. I always recommend asking your team. If they don’t know they should help you check it out with tests.
