Many community members have shared similar experiences with recurrence and additional treatments. Each person's journey with breast cancer is unique, and the combination of treatments available today offers hope and options that weren't available years ago. This community is a wonderful place to connect with others who truly understand what this experience is like and can offer insights from their own paths.

Hello Watsene, Do you mean if anyone got breast cancer again and opted for a masectomy the second time? If so, I did get BC again this year after going through radiation, chemo, and lumpectomy 4 years ago. Back then, I wanted a masectomy right away but was talked out of it by my medical oncologist. I regret listening to them, and I did so out of ignorance and not being informed or doing my research to advocate for myself. Now, I just got diagnosed again in April and just got a masectomy on June 12th. Do your research and ultimately choose what you are most comfortable with. Everyone is different. Ask lots of questions and do your own research. This time around, I did a lot of research. Best of luck! Praying 🙏 for all.
