Hi my name is Liz. I was diagnosed with Stg 4B cervical cancer in February 2023. The cancer was in several places including bone and liver. Approximately 1 month after my diagnosis, I experienced a pathological fracture at T8 and had to have emergency surgery. I began Keytruda in April 2023, along with radiation to my back, then chemo and Avastin in July 2023. Keytruda treatments ended in May of this year. So far, I have been NED since September 2023. Now seeing my Oncologist every 3 months, Signatera blood draws every 3 months and PET scans every 6 months.

Congratulations on reaching NED status - that's an incredible milestone! The monitoring schedule described sounds comprehensive, with regular oncologist visits, blood work, and imaging providing multiple ways to track progress. Many patients find that surveillance schedules can vary based on individual factors like treatment response and risk factors, so discussing any concerns about timing or frequency directly with the oncology team can provide the most personalized guidance. This community is here to support each other through all phases of the cancer journey, including the important but sometimes anxiety-provoking monitoring period.
