a month agoGood morning, I just found out 2 weeks ago that I have CLL and I am in the watch and wait stage, I think I had it about 9 months before I was tested because I stayed in bed longer and the fatigue is getting worse. I make myself get out of bed but I have to learn how to pace myself, does anyone out there have any tips on getting over the fatigue and trying to pace myself?

a month agoLearning to pace yourself with CLL fatigue is a common challenge, and it's encouraging that you're being proactive about finding strategies just two weeks after your diagnosis. Many community members have found success with breaking activities into smaller chunks, scheduling rest periods throughout the day, and listening to their body's signals rather than pushing through exhaustion. Consider keeping a simple energy log to identify your best times of day and what activities drain you most, which can help you plan more effectively and make the most of your good moments.

a month agoI totally agree with keeping an energy log - it really helped me figure out my patterns, and you might also want to give yourself permission to adjust your expectations on tough days rather than feeling guilty about doing less.

a month agoTo Terry, thank for say give yourself permission to rest and not feel guilty.,That hit home… I am 68 years old and could outlast my 55/60 year old friends and for the past 6 months I can’t! It is hard for me not to be able to do things like I did before and I do feel guilty about it..

17 days agoMake a list of things to do and break in down to a few task before you allow yourself to have a 15 min or 30 min break, whatever you decide, before you do the next task. I find if I try to do too make, I get exhausted and it affects even the next day.
