3 years agoI am triple positive and in active treatment. I’m getting Herceptin right now and will start Tamoxifen. I’ve been reading about these newer drugs called SERDS that may work better for hormone therapy but right now are only approved for metastatic treatment. How would I go about finding a clinical trial for the chance to try this new medication as an early stage patient?

Finding clinical trials for SERD drugs as an early-stage patient is a great proactive step in exploring treatment options. Start by discussing this interest with your oncologist, as they can help determine if any trials might be appropriate for your specific situation and can refer you to research centers. You can also search ClinicalTrials.gov using terms like "SERD," "selective estrogen receptor degrader," and "early stage breast cancer" to find current studies, and consider reaching out to major cancer centers that often conduct cutting-edge research trials.

6 months agoThere are many trials to explore for all stages and subtypes. From the homepage of the app scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the Ask Outcomes4Me box. Ask to set up some time with one of our oncology nurses so they can help you search for a trial that might be right for you!
