3 years agoMy SIL was just diagnosed with de novo TNBC MBC. We’re all shocked and obviously I want to do everything within my power to help. They live in Madison WI and I’m wondering if there might be clinical trials in the area we should explore? How do I even get started with this?

This diagnosis is overwhelming, and it's clear how much you care about your sister-in-law. For clinical trials in the Madison area, clinicaltrials.gov is a great starting point where you can search by location and condition, and the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center likely has ongoing studies for triple-negative breast cancer. Her oncologist will be the best resource to discuss which trials might be appropriate for her specific situation and can help navigate the enrollment process.

6 months agoHi @Jennifer G I’m so sorry about your SIL’s diagnosis - stay strong. Clinical trials can be difficult to navigate - I found the trials feature in this app very helpful. Go to the treatment tab and click clinical trials near me. It works great if you are at the location. For some strange reason you can not search for trials at other locations but this app has a website (I learned this from one of their emails!) and there you can search for trials at any location. If you want trials for a specific diagnosis click on that “personalize” button so you get trials matched to your SIL’s situation. Good luck! https://patient.outcomes4me.com/clinical-trials/intro
