Navigating financial challenges during cancer treatment is incredibly difficult, and there are resources available in Arkansas that may help. Consider reaching out to organizations like the American Cancer Society, CancerCare, or local Arkansas Department of Human Services programs that offer financial assistance for cancer patients. Many community members here have faced similar situations and may have valuable insights to share about programs that helped them during treatment.

6 months agoI found help by contacting my cancer hospital's social worker department. They put me in touch with several resources. Plus the hospital itself gave me some financial assistance which was the most helpful to me.

6 months agoYou should apply for SSDI or SSI through the social security administration. Not east to get with stage ii but may be worth applying-The criteria is you must have a severe disability that prevents you from working and is expected to last at least a year and/or result in death. Additionally not familiar with Arkansas-specific resources but check out Pink Fund. I know this is a very delayed response but good luck. Hope youve found and accessed some financial assistance.

6 months agoContact the drug manufacturer, Patient Assistant Program. Check with Medicare which covers certain cancers. I was under 65, Stanford Oncologist told me about it and I was fully covered since I didn’t have job or insurance.
