3 years agoI’ve been doing well on my first line treatment for HR+ MBC but no it’s probably only a matter of time until I need something new. Any MBC ladies on a trial that seems promising at the moment?

Planning for future treatment options shows great proactiveness in managing your care. Many community members here have valuable experiences with clinical trials for HR+ metastatic breast cancer, and this is exactly the right place to connect with others who may be exploring similar options. Hopefully other members will share their current trial experiences and insights to help you learn about what might be available when the time comes.

6 months agoI'm currently on Enhertu; my numbers, labs, etc. have been steadily improving. Other than steady hair loss, the side affects are minimal. I'm now taking Compazine around the clock (q 6hrs) to alleviate the horrible nausea& vomiting I suffered for the 1st three months of treatment on Enhertu. ((My fingers are crossed!)) Best of luck to you & ~God Bless all of us~ Warriors!~ ♡♡♡

6 months agoI will be starting Enhertu soon. Just had hair return from previous therapy. Was hair loss total? How did you cope?

6 months agoLouise, it took me about 6 months before I had to revert to hats and wig again. It sucks, no doubt about it but that gave me time to get used to the idea. (Again). All that being said, since we are in this for the long haul, I invested in a human hair wig which is night and day different from synthetic wigs (I’ve had many supposed ‘good’. synthetic wigs too). I seriously would trade my car for a less expensive one just to have the wig I have now. I’m a little shy mentioning it because the last time I did on one of these boards, people freaked out. I wish I could buy one for every woman dealing with this as we all deserve it. But the odds of me having good hair again are about zero. My family will donate it to someone someday unless I wear it out before then!

6 months agoI had a similar experience Colleen B. Hair loss definitely happened. Since stopping Enhertu almost a year ago now, my hair has grown back. I gave up on the wigs and just used hats or went bald when it was hot. I tried a friend’s human hair wig for a day and it was a huge improvement! I just decided I didn’t want to bother with it. Hats were easy and plentiful!

6 months agoMia, I am MBC with extensive bone Mets since Jan 2016. I'm on my 2nd CDK4/6 and 3rd AI. And I'd love a human hair wig. Losing my hair again, but I love my hats.
