2 months agoI had a mastectomy in July 2022 and I'm looking into my reconstruction options. I came across some information about the different approaches available, including natural tissue flaps and implant-based reconstruction, plus refinement procedures like nipple reconstruction and tattooing that can complete the process. There seem to be so many choices - from DIEP flaps to different implant placements to non-surgical options. I'd love to hear from others who have been through this journey. • What type of reconstruction did you choose and how has your experience been? • What do you wish you had known when making your decision about reconstruction options?
