Blessings to everyone. I was just diagnosed with colon cancer on June 30, 2025. I now belong to the CC club but I wish it was chocolate candy club instead of colon cancer. I’ve gone through a series of test and the plan is to have colonoscopy through a pill and radiation and then surgery. I’m 81 years old and I know God loves me but I’m scared. Thank you for being a support group. I haven’t started any chemo or radiation, but it should happen in the next few days. I will share my experience and ask for your prayers. .

Scared is normal and A OK! We've all been there. Make "scared" a place you visit, but not where you live. I'm 73 and in the past 14 months I've had 2 surgeries, 6 months oof daily oral chemo, then 30 rounds of radiation with more oral chemo. Not easy but was it doable? Absolutely and worth it! Be brave, be encouraged and believe that since you're still here at 81 and I'm still here at 73 ... we've been doing something right☺️

We are here for you . I went for my pet scan yesterday. Should hear something soon. Plus, I go to the oncologist on Monday. And we'll talk about treatment.

Gloria, the PetCTtells a lot. I start chemo and radiation on Monday. Scared but hopeful that my body is strong enough to take it. Please pray for me.

Kathleen love your attitude!!! I was diagnosed w/ colon cancer this past May….just completed my 6th chemo session. My side effects have become more acute after completing my 4th session; but my care team is great and I’m going to keep going until completion!
