2 months agoHi my name is Rebeca, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer back in Dec 2022. He has been through treatments. Those treatments stopped working. He is have three different types of pills and he CEA numbers are going up. He was down to 6 and now back up to 102. What other options does he have? Anyone else going through the same. I am not in his shoes but this is affecting me also.

2 months agoWhen treatments stop working, there are often additional options to explore, including clinical trials, different chemotherapy combinations, immunotherapy, or targeted therapies based on genetic testing of the tumor. Many oncologists will recommend comprehensive molecular profiling to identify potential new treatment pathways that weren't previously available. This journey affects the whole family, and connecting with others who understand this experience can provide valuable support and insights about navigating these difficult decisions together.

15 days agoHi Rebeca, I have stage 3 CC , and I just had my first chemo treatment . The RN came to my house and accessed the port with the chemo cartridge I wear for 48 hours she comes back and takes the empty cartridge and will come back and do this again in 2 weeks . I am to do this treatment for 6 sessions. So it's hurry up and wait . I'm greatful for everyones help. I don't know where your located . Im in Seattle. Try looking for a hospital called Virginia Mason hospital and check into their CC unit ! Their world renowned . If your hubby has had stage 4 since 2022 something is working for him . Try Virginia Mason 🙂

15 days agoHi Leilani I will pray for you and hope your treatments are working for you. I pray everyday for my hubby but we just received results from a PET scan and they don’t look so good. Medications he was on are not working there are new growths. His Oncologist is trying to get him on clinical trials. I am just broken. I don’t know how to feel anymore or what to do. I cry myself to sleep. It’s not only hard on the person who has these ugly disease but on the people that care for them. We will be together 23 years this year and praying for many more. I am in California. Would like to keep in touch with you if you don’t mind. I really do need people to talk to and I am always here to listen also.
