It's wonderful that you're being proactive about nutrition during treatment - many community members have found that focusing on anti-inflammatory foods like leafy greens, berries, fatty fish, and whole grains can be helpful during this time. Consider speaking with a registered dietitian who specializes in oncology nutrition, as they can provide personalized guidance that works with your specific treatment plan and any side effects you might be experiencing.

5 months agoHi Richard I was diagnosed colorectal cancer in May I’m still working on my diet as I am having a hard time with food. Going for second round of chemo tomorrow. What I found for myself is I eliminated sugar , meat except turkey and no alcohol, eggs and oatmeal small meals though out the day and stay hydrated . I hope this helps; all the best to you

4 months agoHi Richard. I'm so sorry you're going through this. Depending on where you are and your oncologist you may have access t o a nutritionist specific to your diagnosis to help answer some of these questions. For me I avoided alcohol and sugars and already didn't eat red meats. Sometimes i could only keep down certain foods though ~ oatmeal and eggs where my go to. I also drank a lot of ensure type drinks to get the nutrition. I hope this helps and Good luck.
