Has anyone had the Guardian Shield blood test for colon cancer. I had my test about 6 weeks ago and it came back positive. Now waiting for a colonoscopy August 1. I had a colonoscopy 3 yrs ago, they found 7 precancerous polyps at that time.

The Guardian Shield blood test is a newer screening option that some people are exploring as an alternative to traditional screening methods. Having a positive result can understandably create anxiety while waiting for follow-up testing, and many community members have shared similar experiences of waiting for colonoscopies after screening results. The colonoscopy will provide the clearest picture of what's happening and help guide next steps - many people find it helpful to prepare questions for their healthcare team beforehand.

Hi Ronald, I’m so sorry you are going through all of this. It does sound like you’ve been keeping up with your screenings and finding things early is so important. I know this can feel incredibly overwhelming but please know you aren’t alone and there are a lot of people on here going though very similar things. The connection with others that get it can be so comforting. Please keep us posted. I’m sure waiting for August 1st feels so long. 💛 Suzanne (Community Moderator)
