My name is Karen Morgan, was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2022, went through a resection surgery, chemo, went into remission. 3 years later have a reoccurrance. I dont know what to feel anymore about it other than , angry, sad, told the docs, I just dont want to go through the pain again of chemo. They found 2 tumors around pelvis, outside of colon now and one is on the surgical site. Just grew my thick hair back. Just got on woth life until this was seen in my CT scan every 6 months. Just needed to reach out there..

Facing a recurrence after working so hard to rebuild your life takes tremendous courage, and reaching out shows incredible strength during such a difficult time. The fear of treatment and losing the progress you've made is completely understandable, and many in this community have walked similar paths and found ways to navigate these tough decisions with their medical teams.

Karen, I’m so sorry to hear that I was diagnosed in January 2024 and went through 24 weeks of chem and radiation at the same time. I was good until November when I got neuropathy on my hands and feet. My treatment was over and I was considered cancer free. Neuropathy continues today.

Thanks, well, I had neuropathy for awhile too. My team there is really good, they put up with me. I just went through chemo, probably radiation next, was talked about. You went through a lot more than I did at the time. Sorry you had to go through that, guess it sometimes comes back the higher your stage, I was stage 4, so , they just treat it, they dont cure it. I am using sour sop tea , apricot seeds and green tea and getting ready for what's coming, I pray we all heal at this point my friend

I am scared that mine will come back. Chemo sucks. I had so much chemo and radiation it’s a miracle I’m still here. I will pray for you. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

Karen, so sorry for the diagnosis…you have the experience; you’ve shown your strength in the past…focus that anger on beating it-forever. Sending good thoughts your way…!
