Hi my name is Salvador I just got diagnosed with colon cancer, I’m scared of what’s coming to me once I start chemo. Not knowing what to spect during chemo and after chemo is driving crazy. Is anyone going through treatment right now, let’s connect. This is a scary journey to walk alone. I want to find some support and connect with people going through the same thing.

I was diagnosed in September 2024, and the part that I was concerned with the most was the side effects. The nurses at the location made me feel very comfortable. What I found out is that everyone will not have the same side effects. At this point, I have had 12 rounds of chemo, and the only side effect I have had is a rash. Please don't let the fatigue set in get up and move go for walks. What every chemo you are on, please do your own research on that drug.

Did you have surgery? I’m supposed to do surgery for 3 months and try to shrink the tumor and then they are going to do surgery.

I just finished my first round of chemo. I wrote down (keeping a journal) what worked and what didn’t work regarding food and over all effects chemo had on my body. I take one day at a time. I take walks and pray ; That is what I can control for now.
