a month agoTake one day at a time. I am 81 and was told I have colon cancer. I live alone with a dog and I was scared .

Living alone with a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, but taking things one day at a time is a wise approach that many find helpful. Building a support network through healthcare teams, family, friends, or online communities like this one can provide valuable emotional support and practical assistance during treatment - and having a faithful companion like a dog can bring comfort too.

a month agoI am like you, I am 78 turning 79 in Dec with my little dog. I don't think I have faced my diagnosis completely. I am upset at all the hoops I have to jump thru.

a month agoI too live alone. I am 67 and the worst days are those after chemo. I am also struggling with neuropathy on feet, legs and hands. I too take one day at a time and tell myself to breathe and that I have this.
