4 months agoHas anyone with stomach cancer developed weird aversions to certain foods. All of a sudden meat makes me incredibly sick and tastes like pennies. Is it just me?
Accepted Answer
Food aversions, especially that metallic taste you're describing, are actually quite common experiences for people dealing with stomach cancer and its treatments. Many community members have shared similar struggles with foods they once enjoyed, particularly meat, so you're definitely not alone in this experience. Consider discussing these changes with your healthcare team, as they may have helpful suggestions for managing taste changes and ensuring you're still getting proper nutrition during this time.

2 months agoFor me it is any red meat. I love red meat I am about to get a double dose this evening because I had COVID last week. It's gonna suck. I will say that beef broth and veggies is something I can keep down. I am trying to keep my stomach, but it feels like I am just stalling the decline.

a month ago@don what you’re describing has a name “dumping syndrome”. It’s sad that neither oncologists nor surgeons warn you about it, it’s pretty scary, in my opinion 🎃
