a month agoI recently started up chemo for gastric adenocarcinoma. I have a question does anyone get painful hiccups that are hard to get rid of. If so how are ways to deal with this. Stay strong God bless and keep fighting.

a month agoPainful hiccups during chemotherapy can be frustrating and exhausting, especially when they're difficult to stop. Many people in the community have found relief through techniques like controlled breathing exercises, sipping small amounts of cold water, or gently pressing on certain pressure points, though what works best can vary from person to person. Consider discussing this symptom with your care team, as they may have specific recommendations or treatments that can help manage this side effect during your treatment journey.

a month agoI had the same issue with hiccups after Chimo treatments (day after and day 2 the worst). I had my doctor proscribe something for the hiccups and they totally stopped (can’t remember the name of the medication). Oncologist should know about this. I had to ask for the mediation though.

25 days agoYes I did for 10 days. It was determined it was something in the chemo that did it. They thought it could be the nausea medication. It happened twice. Finally a drug called Baclofen helped.
