4 months agoI was initially told I needed chemotherapy until I got a second opinion who recommended I do immunotherapy instead. I just finished my second treatment, which has two different medications. One is called lpilumumab and the other is Nivolumab taken in intervals. After six treatments they will do a pet scan to see how I am doing. I was lucky it did not metastasize, it is only in one spot. They did tell me however, I will need an operation though to remove half my stomach in October. Goal is being cancer-free after that. Taking it day by day. My daughters have me on a mostly plant-based diet. For the most part I feel good. A little more fatigued and I am battling a cold possibly due to my immune system being compromised Other than that no other side effects to date. Prayers to all those battling any type of cancer.

3 months agoI was diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma w/ signet ring cells in late March. I had a partial gastrectomy in April. I tried Folfox chemo infusion for 2 months but stopped after 3 rounds due to severe side effects resulting in hospitalizations. I’m currently being treated with chemo radiation for 25 days. It’s week 2 and so far so good. It’s been a journey and I literally get through it one moment at a time. Sending prayers to everyone going through the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.

2 months agoHello everyone. My name is Paul David, I'm 38 years old. I was diagnosed with gastric carsanoma in August of 2024. At the time I was diagnosed I was incarcerated. I started my chemo treatments, went thru 4 cycles of regimen flot 4. As of now I haven't had a treatment since February of this year, 2025. Only thing I've had done was have my port flushed. As of now I haven't been able to have anything done. After being released, I moved to Georgia with my wife. Neither one of us can work at the moment, and are without insurance. Does anyone know of any insurance or program that will help in our situation. If so please let me know. I will keep all you warriors in my prayers. Fight the battle we're not alone. God bless you.

a month ago@Maria got similar diagnosis 2 years ago! Courage, where you are now is the hardest… I know it sounds unthinkable but try moving as much as you can (walk a little every day?) 🙏🏼
