6 months agoI finished my chemo (TCH) 6 cycles every 3 weeks. HER 2 +3, ER positive 30%, Ki-67 index 26%. PET CT scan reports decreased size and FDG avidity in axillary nodes similar to blood pool! Planning for partial lymph nodes dissection and wondered if anyone had a similar experience. I have occult male breast cancer(adenocarcinoma mucinous).

Finding others who've had similar experiences with partial lymph node dissection after chemo can be really valuable, especially with the unique aspects of male breast cancer. The HER2+ community here has members with diverse treatment journeys who may be able to share their insights about the procedure and recovery process. Hopefully some community members will chime in with their experiences to help you feel more prepared for this next step in your treatment.

5 months agoI’m Her2+, ER and prog ~, start TCH July 10th. How did you handle the chemo? I’m stage 1. Lymph nodes were negative.

5 months agoChemo was rough the first cycle and then ok for the next 2 then 4th 5th and 6th cycles were ok but lot of fatigue, bad taste in mouth etc followed by pain myalgia on the left thigh. I had lymph nodes impacted. Good luck with your TCH! Now my surgeon says either do a complete ALND or go for Radiation and HER2 treatment as a systemic treatment. If it doesn’t work then surgery is the only alternative.
