2 days agoI have er + Pr- her2 positive 3+ grade 2 local lvl + no lymph nodes involved, but my tumor was much bigger than they thought I had radiation treatment and now I’m doing a in a anastrole and a treatment called Phesgo which is very expensive. I’m in the middle of 18 treatments of had seven and they now tell me Medicare probably won’t cover it. Has anybody ever been on this? I’m financial help for it. Appreciate any direction or has anybody ever had Medicare pay for it? They didn’t deny me my hospitals just saying that they think that it’s not gonna be covered. It’s very expensive thank you.

2 days agoMedicare coverage for Phesgo can vary depending on individual circumstances and medical necessity, so it's worth working with your care team to explore all options including prior authorization appeals and patient assistance programs that may be available. Many community members have navigated similar insurance challenges and may have helpful experiences to share about advocacy strategies or financial support resources they've found.

2 days agoI'm dealing with the exact same Medicare worry about Phesgo coverage - it's so stressful to have this uncertainty hanging over you while you're trying to focus on treatment! You're definitely not alone in this, and I really hope you get some clarity soon.

a day agoThat's such helpful advice - definitely push for that prior authorization appeal and also ask your oncology team's financial counselor about manufacturer copay cards, as many of us have found those can make a huge difference with these expensive targeted therapies.
