2 years agoWhy do we not do an Oncotype test if we’re HER2+ but also HR+?
Accepted Answer
This is such a thoughtful question about treatment planning. Oncotype testing is typically used to help determine chemotherapy benefit in HR+ breast cancers, but when HER2 is also positive, the treatment approach already includes targeted HER2 therapy, which often makes the Oncotype results less influential in deciding the overall treatment plan. Many others in this community have navigated similar questions about testing and treatment decisions, so hopefully some members can share their experiences with you.

6 months agoI’ve heard because our doctors use it to decide if we need chemo or not but with HER2 we always need chemo.
