a year agoHello. I have triple positive breast cancer with one lymph node involved. I just completed 3 of 6 tchp rounds. I’m having pretty significant side effects including incredible foot pain. I’m going to insist that the treatment be reduced or stopped until this can be addressed. At what point should an mri be repeated? If it shows the cancer is smaller or gone do I need the rest of the chemo? Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks!

Treatment side effects can be challenging to manage, and discussing concerns with your oncology team is always the right approach. The timing of follow-up imaging during treatment varies by individual case and treatment protocol, so your medical team will be best positioned to determine when repeat imaging would be most informative for your specific situation. Many patients find it helpful to prepare questions in advance for their appointments about both side effect management and monitoring plans, as treatment decisions typically involve weighing multiple factors including response, tolerance, and overall treatment goals.

6 months agoI hate to suggest another pill but your oncologist could prescribe Lyrica. That helped me. Continuing the treatment plan is usually the best plan. Hugs to you 💕

6 months agoI get the same treatment. It knocked me down the 1st one. I'm having my 3rd one today. My second one wasn't bad just diarrhea and bad taste and fatigue. God be with you throughout this journey. Stay strong and positive. I try to stay happy and I pray alot. 🙏❤️
