Has anyone had severe bone and joint problems after chemo, but during Herceptin and Perjeta infusions?

Bone and joint pain can be a challenging side effect that some patients experience during targeted therapy treatments. Many community members have shared similar experiences, and it's helpful to discuss these symptoms with your oncology team to explore management options and ensure proper monitoring. Connecting with others who understand this journey can provide valuable insights and support during treatment.

My pain is literally everywhere. All joints and a lot of bone pain too. Seems like it is rare, but I am miserable. Dr’s don’t have a lot of answers. My inflammatory markers were normal. Had a rheumatologist say it’s probably from menopause. I wanted to scream. So I can barely walk or hold anything because of menopause? This was clearly from a male Dr.

I finished chemo two month ago & have been getting the Phesgo (Herceptin and Perjeta) injections. For the last two weeks I’ve had the worst bone pains. I started to panic thinking I had Mets & then realized it couldn’t be, because pain was all over my body. It’s been unbearable…but Claritin has helped.

I was told to take Claritin for bone pain. Is that part of your regimen? One of my coworkers has bone cancer, she use’s Frankincense, rubs it where she hurts, she also stays active. I started using it on my breast, seems to help with the pain.

Same here, also told to take Claritin. I have bone pain, joint pain, back spasms and loads of other things going on. I’ll say that the Claritin did help, especially with the spasms but I’m on big pain meds to be able to function.

I only had joint pain when they added Zometa infusion. I am only taking Herceptin infusion weekly now. I am BRACA 1. I only seem to get tired now. I go weekly and since it is a small dose I mostly get really tired and have to nap.
