2 years agoI was told I’m NED. But wasn’t checked or scanned or blood test or anything. Is this normal? Also there were two questionable lymph nodes that weren’t removed because I would have lost use of my arm. I had 28 lymph nodes removed, 9 were cancerous so I was told that’s pretty good odds for the two in question to be cancer free. It’s like horse racing I guess

It's completely understandable to have questions about being declared NED, especially when it feels like there weren't many tests involved. Many cancer patients wonder about this same situation, and the approach can vary based on individual circumstances, treatment response, and what clinical signs doctors are observing. The decision-making process around lymph nodes that are difficult to access safely is complex, and it sounds like your medical team weighed the risks and benefits carefully - other community members here may have faced similar situations and could share their experiences.
