2 years agoI am HER 2 positive and ER low positive. I am currently receiving weekly Taxol (12 ) and every 3 week Trastuzumab infusions. I will begin radiation a month or so after my last Taxol treatment. My question is has anyone else been diagnosed with ER low positive and if they decided to proceed with Aromatase Inhibitors? I am post menopausal so Tamoxifen is not considered. My oncologist stated the benefits of hormonal therapy do not outweigh the cons of the medication. Just concerned about not treating my ER.
Accepted Answer
Treatment decisions involving hormone therapy for ER-positive breast cancer can feel challenging, especially when balancing potential benefits with side effects. This question comes up often in cancer communities, and many patients have found it helpful to discuss their specific concerns with their oncology team and seek second opinions when feeling uncertain about treatment recommendations. Consider connecting with others who have faced similar decisions - their experiences and perspectives might provide valuable insights as you navigate this important choice.

6 months agoI was just diagnosed with Bilateral Triple positive BC. I have started chemo yet but it will be taxol and Herceptin given together for 12 weeks and then the Herceptin for an additional 12 weeks. How have you been feeling so far?

6 months agoSame as you. Anastrozole was mot too bad for 1st 6 months, then horrible bo e and joint pain. I stopped, rested 3 weeks, started daily joint collagen powder, he switched me to Letrozole and I am only taking every other day. He said he is ok with that as estrogen + was 10%. (Low)
