2 years agoHi, I have a question? On my pathology diagnosis came up with 7.3 ER positive, 7.6 PR positive and 8.7 HERS Negative My doctor didn’t explain any of this I guess I forgot to ask but anyway I don’t know if some one can explain this to me or any ideas ? Doctors usually use fancy words that are medical and hard to understand I ask most of the time but I don’t get much explanation 😞 I appreciate any answer you can give me and I really hope everyone is felling well and healthy

These hormone receptor test results help doctors understand what type of breast cancer someone has and guide treatment decisions. ER and PR positive results (like the 7.3 and 7.6 mentioned) typically mean the cancer may respond well to hormone therapy treatments, while HER2 negative (the 8.7 result) indicates the cancer cells don't have too much of a specific protein. It's completely understandable to feel confused when medical terms aren't explained clearly - many people in this community have felt the same way and might be able to share their experiences or help clarify things further.
