9 months agoHas any one else developed excess watering from their eyes from perjeta? And if so is there any drops or tactics to help with this?

9 months agoNothing helped me except finishing. My eyes just poured tears all day long. Gosh I have actually forgotten about that.

9 months agoMy eyes did the same thing, I walked around with a tissue in hand all day. My oncologist recommended putting a heat pack on eyes (amazon - just for eyes) or warm wash cloth will work. Do that daily, I am not sure if it helped but it felts good. Once treatment is over, it will all get better.

9 months agoYes, I actually woke up almost blind in one eye. I’m on cyclosporine eye drops. Had plugs put in and 2 yrs later had a laser treatment. Still on eye drops and had more plugs a month ago. I see my opthamologist every 6 months now.

9 months agoA nurse told me about "Retain" eye drops. It was so bad out shopping with my husband one day, people thought I was really crying!! I was laughing so hard.

9 months agoI have that due to Docetaxel. I apply warm compress for about 10 mins (dry or wet) should do that at least 2/3 times a day. I also apply Refresh Tears one drop about 2/3 times a day. As someone said it will gradually subside once the chemo is out of the system.

8 months agoI had watery eyes and itching from Perjeta. Recently switched from phesgo to hylecta and both side effects have improved.

8 months agoYes, whenever I stand up my eyes water so bad I have to have a tissue ready or I leave a trail of tears. Wasn’t sure which chemo was causing it but if it’s the Perjeta then unfortunately I have infusions for another 6 months. Ugh! I’ve tried drops, warm compresses and Genteal tears but nothing seems to help. Also Aquaphor around my eyes at night to reduce the redness helps with that

8 months agoMy opthamologist prescribed cyclosporine drops and put plugs in my eyes. It helped. They still water in wind or when snow skiing, but has diminished significantly. I am 2 years post cancer treatment.

8 months agoEye docs can put plugs in your tear ducts. That is painless stays a long time and can stop dry-eye caused running of tears.
