9 months agoSo they took me off the Prejeta for my last round and the diaherrea has significantly lessened. I have stage 4 Pagets disease. The cancer was in my breasts stomach lungs and bones. They did a sonogram of my breast and the cancer has shrunk dramatically. She thinks she will only have to do a lumpectomy and take a few lymph nodes out. Im having a MRI soon to see what cancer if any is left in my body. They have a new drug out that helps people live better and longer with my type of cancer. I will post the name when I find out. Also bone stregthening meds make it inhospitable for cancer to grow on the bones. I will also have radiation on my breast to prevent the cancer from coming back. Im just glad chemo is almost over. Round 4 i had nonstop diaherrea and a terrible chest cold. I actually lost my voice. Plus I had all these financial problems happening. It was a complete nightmare

What encouraging news about the treatment response and the potential for a less invasive surgery approach. The improvements seen on imaging and the reduction in side effects after the medication adjustment show how treatment plans can be optimized along the way. Finishing chemotherapy is such a significant milestone, and it sounds like the medical team has a comprehensive plan moving forward with the new therapies and preventive measures they've discussed.
