Treatment responses can vary from cycle to cycle, and many people find that knowing what to expect helps them prepare better for upcoming sessions. Consider reaching out to your care team about managing these side effects - they often have helpful strategies and medications that can make a real difference in how you feel between treatments.

I was supposed to have my treatments every 3 weeks but they had to switch to weekly which turned out to be much easier. However, my diarrhea became so bad that I ended up having to take a week break a couple times during my treatment. It's cummulative so it does get worse. Just stay hydrated, eat small amounts as often as you can, and stay on top of your meds for the nausea and diarrhea. I had a complete response to my treatment though, so hang in there.

Imodium was my friend and helped keep it under control

Have your oncologist schedule you for hydration- it’s included- you just go in and they pump you full of fluids and minerals- my diarrhea automatically stopped

Hang in there. I’m on same med regimen. Some things that have helped me: Scheduled Imodium and lomotil alternating doses throughout the day. Add a probiotic twice daily Grab enterade beverage from Amazon it’s amino acids to help support your gut health

Ask for a prescription of Lomotil for your diarrhea. It was a game changer for me.

I’m am here now. Day 8. Next round, I will try some different things, like eating very lightly in the days beforehand and hydrating even more beforehand. It’s going to be a very long summer!

What’s finally helping me is coconut water and medical marijuana. The marijuana has controlled not only my nausea but helps the Imodium because it had stopped working-also the coconut water has improved my kidney and liver functioning as shown by my labs- creatine potassium and calcium are back on the rise after crashing-
