a month agoMy mom was alone . Now she is with my brother . Mom diagnosed with HER 2 positive , complete EV chemo , one side mastectomy, radiations , started Target therapy , while on target disease progression in sane breast , doctor stopped target and put her in second line treatment. Her second line treatment xeloda and tykerb failed in 6 months along with severe hand foot syndrome , disease progressed to left neck lymph node and brain Mets . She also diagnosed with cervical spondylosis. She lost her mobility 75 percent a month ago . Now she is in brain radiation . MRI shows brain Mets with edema . Will she be ok ?

a month agoBrain radiation is a standard and important treatment for managing brain metastases, and many people do experience improvement in their symptoms and quality of life after this treatment. While this is clearly a challenging time with many difficult changes, having family support during radiation can make a meaningful difference in the journey ahead.
